This collection is an offshoot of my Central Minnesota set and doesn't contain most duplicates. The northern edge of that region got a little to far from home, and I'm spending more time on the North Shore these days, so it warrants its own set. More importantly, the ecology of the two regions varies quite a bit. Many of the species in Minnesota's "arrowhead" do not occur in the central region except during migration.
The majority of these shots were made with a Canon 7D (original or Mark II), the Canon 100-400L II, and the first or second gen Tamron 150-600mm, or with Canon's 70-200 f/4L. More recently I've carried a Sony RX10iv as a travel camera.
Bird identification can be a challenge, since individuals can vary and I'm new to the game. If you have corrections, please let me know. Scientific names are linked for more information.
