screenshot_cafd2My primary contact at Cloquet Area Fire District expressed the need to recreate their Joomla site in a style more applealing to the public, with dynamic content and more imagery. We started fresh with a great template from RocketTheme, then added our graphics and content.

The result is a site that's very exciting and engaging, but retains easy navigation and visual scanning. This site is nearly complete and should replace their current site very soon.

Welcome. If you've been here before you probably know that this is a place where I mention my latest website projects, ponder such things as motorcycling, photography, and fatherhood, and goof around a little.

I recently goofed around a little too much and wrecked the database for the site. My backup was seriously out of date, too. Fortunately we live in an age where very little ever really dies, and I was able to capture most of my content from Google's cached pages. I'll be putting some of it back fairly soon.

I'm also experimenting with embedded Flickr photo sets. So far it seems to be working well. I can upload to Flickr directly from Lightroom 3. Pretty slick.

Thanks for visiting.
